87 (4.71) this morning. There were actually some sprinkles around the area, just not here, so the humidity is up to a whopping 21%. Next 10 days look like dry and sunny temps in the mid 90's.

Saw my doctor yesterday and she agrees that vitamin b-12 should be tested and said she normally has it done but looked back and realized that she had not. I guess it pays to ask about things.

88 this morning. I had a colonoscopy three weeks ago. Before the prep my fasting averaged 115. Since that time it is averaging low 90's. Definitely will do a fast when ever my bs starts to creep up.

120. It was 100 when I went to bed at midnight. Poo.

Lots of rain this am. Over an inch in an hour. Going out for birthday movie in an hour, so prepared for popcorn. Haven't been to movies since last birthday. Sigh.

Had upped my daily carbs a bit this week. Still 105 or less however. Funny thing. Wine does not raise my blood sugar even a point. Is this usual?

They are actually studying the safety of that on those using insulin (australia I think). Fasting once a week appears to improve insulin resistance even without a change in diet or exercise or weight loss. However they want to make sure that regular fasting doesn't create a new problem. For instance, yo-yo dieting actually makes it harder to lose weight but that isn't apparent for a long time. Hey, people are going to do it anyway so you may as well find out parameters that are safe.

76 - although was up to 130 at bedtime. I haven't been taking any insulin in the morning because I was staying below 110 during the day for awhile. May rethink that again.

So foggy this morning - actual drizzle on the windshield.

Bunjee, I find alcohol *usually* lowers my blood sugar in the short term. Especially champagne or dry wines. And. Happy Birthday!

Thanks for the info Bunjee. I only take one 500 mg. of metformin a day. Good point on the yo-yo dieting.

88 (4.88) this blue sky morning, 78 (4.32) at bedtime last night.

My daughter is getting married!!! She and her daughter proposed to her partner and she said Yes!! No date yet. I am so excited for her and I really like her partner!! Guess I'm going to have to do what canadiandude did and get my teeth fixed so I can smile...

Fire didn't grow overnight and is now 7% contained. There is a tiny bit of smoke in the air but the breezes are pushing most of it south of me. Still at 14 homes lost and one death with all evacuations still in effect. Cooler weather has helped but it is going to heat up again soon.

Happy Birthday Bunjee!
