134 sigh. Farewell dinner for a friend at a Chinese restaurant. Went back to bed & retested and was down to 100. But still.

One more day of beautiful, mild weather before it's supposed to start warming up.

81 (4.49) this partly cloudy morning, 91 (5.04) at bedtime last night.

The fire is at 8,249 acres now and 20% contained. Yesterday they found 2 more homes that burned the first day. It isn't traveling my way and the wind is taking the smoke South so that is good. No sign of the thunder storms yet, maybe they fizzled out. Hope so!

131. I'm not happy where this number is, but when I charted here, I noticed that I'm not getting a lot of big ups and downs with FBG from day to day as I have been since dropping the metformin. Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll return to under 90 gr. day and I'll bet it drops to <110. It seems to be, although I am still not certain, that the magnesium is causing the digestive upset and I'm trying to decide what to do about that. I'm glad it wasn't the aspirin.

89 (4.93) this morning. Daily high temp staying around 92° with a nice breeze out of the North. Nice for walking.
I got my lab test back from the blood work I had taken Friday and all looks good. Lipid panel is the best I have had for years, all within the normal range. My Vitamin B-12 was on the high end of the normal range so apparently I have had no problem from the Metformin. That is nice to know however my Doctor still wants me to drop from 2000mg a day to 1000mg a day and try it out. I did that already once but I don't think I really gave it enough time so I will try it again. A1c result is not back yet, it usually takes a day or two longer for some reason.

109 this morning, really surprised as I went to a fundraiser for my DD's BFF who has stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma. Only food there was pizza so I ate a slice, which I love but ordinarily stay away from, so was expecting a little higher number this am.

129. Still in that general ballpark. Jumps up 20 points from 2 a.m. reading.

Had 1.5 slices of birthday pizza yesterday. Today it is the cake. Is it better to have all the carbs in one day or split it up? Well, I'm not having to change my insulin amounts, so I guess the split up was the wisest choice. Tomorrow is the potential last day of my planned backslide. Tuesday, it's back to under 90 gr. Today is a lovely day, but I got hit with allergies, so I can't really enjoy it. I won't get any results from my blood tests until sometime this week.

Katieboosmama - I haven't had regular pizza since last November. As with the birthday cake, I just limit my portions and have a piece with the least frosting. Not willing yet to scrape it off and leave it.

Every form of magnesium I have ever tried has caused digestive issues with me i.e. bloating and lots of it. I spray transdermal magnesium oil on the inside of my arms and thighs before I go to bed. 5 sprays each place. Now and then I'll take one capsule of magnesium glycinate but that's about all I can tolerate which is only
about 200mgs I believe.

Snap myself from yesterday with another 81 (4.49) this cloudy morning, 83 (4.6) at bedtime last night.

Fire grew a little overnight. It is at 8,262 acres now, 25% contained. They only got between 1/10" to 1/3" of rain there and because of the tree cover, most didn't hit the ground. Today the worry is that the thunderstorms predicted are conducive to large hail. Golf ball sized that could damage equipment and injure fire fighters. Again I hope not!

Bunjee, magnesium can most definitely mess with your digestion system, ie bathroom visits. You may need to adjust your dose down to see if you can handle it better. I take it every other day for just that reason.
