Just doesnt seem fair, does it . I refuse to give up corn on the cob but instead of having a huge whole cob (or two) I get frozen packs of 10 or so which are small, like maybe 1/4 of a cob and just have it with other vegies and meat. I seem to get away with it. Maybe try that if you love it like I do. The other reason for getting frozen is that I dont have it often so it lasts longer.

Snap Wally! An 82 (4.54) here too this blue sky morning. 87 (4.82) at bedtime last night.

Temps are rising here, it is supposed to be 91°F today, but my trusty outside thermometer says it is only 80° right now. I doubt the 91 is coming today.

88, down a point from yesterday. I'm heavily and fully into ketosis. I did a 10 hour grueling hike yesterday. I started the morning with BPC, no food, hiked for hours and my partner had to stop 3 times for food to keep up his energy and he also had a big breakfast. I had my first food of the day at 4:45 PM, sardines and a few raw almonds. That gave me the energy to make up for what I'd done plus the over 3 hour descent hike to the car. I tested my BG at home at 8:30 PM and it was 89, same as my FBG. Ketosis magically keeps it flat and within a healthy range.

87 (4.82) this morning. Heading in to town this morning where it will be heading to well over 100°, supposed to be 106°-107°, so going in early and back home before it gets too hot.

Hmmm, I *guess* this is a good thing, lol.

Actually I woke up this morning at 2:30 and all was not right with the world, as I clocked in at 43. Yikes. But got it up to 88 and went back to bed. I know where I went wrong and won't make that mistake again.

School has started = cruddy traffic. Need to up my game and get into the office earlier now.

124. Poo. Oh well, this is part of my new range as doc does not want me to increase the Levemir any longer. So, from here on out, it's my new diet that will change things.... lower calorie, lower carbs.

Why doesn't the doc want you to increase the Levemir? And why the low calorie? Weight loss? Just curious (and nosy)

4.1 this morning. May be time to start reducing the basal again (I'm down to 80 units from 98 a day), since I have been good about using bolus as needed. Do not want to crash lower than that, although I had a 3.4 a couple of weeks ago and felt just fine.

I've already had 2 overnight readings under 80. It's the endo's safety margin. He pointed out that the goal of <110 is great, but only if it can be done safely and having 70s overnight is that limit. He's recommended that I try having a single cracker, couple of grapes or raisins when I wake up between 2-3 and see if that has any effect on DP.

Yes, the low calorie is to lose weight. I've already done months of under 1500 calories and <90 gr. carbs and that isn't working, so I'm going to 1,000-1,200 which requires a bit of oversight beyond a few months because you can get malnutrition. I'd like to do the LCHF, for which I'm not likely to get any support, but I have to see my primary about the gout issue first.
