Been a few days, but 95 (5.3) this morning.

The guys are doing shift relief 30 minutes earlier than they were when I was on shift last year. Not being a "get out of bed and go" person, I'm not able to afford time looking at the forum on day shift mornings. I get up at 3:30 now so I could maybe look at getting up at 3:00, but I'm also not a "go to bed at 8:00" person. I'm thinking retirement is looking more favorable.

Edit> I see I got a SNAP with bignick today.

86 (4.76) this smoky morning. The Cedar fire North of here is still only 5% contained and will probably be burning for a while.
Yeah Mark, going to bed at 8:00 PM is not easy, especially in the summer, it's still light out ! Getting up at 3:30 AM is tough enough.

I don't even know.

I think in the low 100's as I forgot my trusty CVS meter at work and was relying on the sub-par One Touch Ultra 2 (I don't have the date and time synced on the Ultra since I rarely use it).

These are taken at the same time after driving into work, using the same finger prick. Really.

Barb - sorry you have to deal with all of that!

72 (3.99) this mostly clear morning, 79 (4.38) at bedtime last night.

Is it Monday yet??? Love seat/recliner sleeping is not agreeing with me at all!

Did some grocery shopping and stopped by the local farmer's market. Got some great green tomatoes there last week. Sadly, none this week. They said next weekend.

Had a bit of a "whoops" this morning. 6.2. Meh, I was peckish last night and had a late chicken sandwich. It happens. Right now (after 4 hours and 2 cups of coffee) its 5.3. Its all good.

114 this morning. Still in the sortof range.

It was on and off rain much of the day although there was a brief period of sunlight. Cooler but humid.

Kris, that's why the doc told me to just use one meter until you run out of strips before going to the cheaper-strip meter. You'll make yourself crazy. My backup meter is also a Contour Next, but I'm thinking of getting a True Matrix one as a backup instead - strips are as low as .10 each over at Amazon.

94, ate once yesterday. Small steak, salad, broccoli. No snacks either. I'm doing an all day climb to difficult peak today, having BPC, no breakfast. Sardines, cheese, almonds, bacon if I get hungry along the way.

An 80 (4.4) this morning.

Looks like most of the rain is south of us today. Hope it stays there.

Kris - Is the CVS meter the same as a TrueMetrix?

107 (5.93) this morning. Well, at least it isn't a "where did that come from" situation. I know it was because I had taco salad last night (no tortillas, just taco ingredients in a bowl) but I pigged out because it was so good and so I deserve this but I'm not worried and it will come down.
Another smoky day today, yesterday was really bad but even though the fire is 75-80 miles to the North of here the wind is from that direction.
Had a bit of a scare yesterday as a fire started about 4 miles from here just on the other side of the pass but fire crews and aircraft got on it quickly and it was out after burning only about 10 acres, still rather nerve wracking for a while.
