My morning reading today was 144, which bothers me because I don't understand why. Last night I had chicken crack slaw. I also made a chocolate mug cake and topped it with a dollop of whipping cream. Then around 9:30 or so, I wanted a snack, so I made 3 pieces of bacon and two slices of cheese. Still, my reading was higher than the day before.

Then I walked half an hour at lunch time and got a 97 reading after that, which is my lowest reading yet.

Clearly, exercise is a huge key. Maybe I should take a ten minute walk before I take my morning reading? But then, is that a true reading? I also take medical marijuana at night, for a chronic back condition and to help me sleep. It's an edible product, looks like a tootsie roll, and I take a slice that's less than 1/4" wide. I wonder if there is some sugar or carbs in that --- but how much could it be for that size dose? Anyway, that's how I'm doing today.

5.8 for me this morning. Work ends for the semester on Friday! Woohoo! Monday is D-day though...that's my first dentist appointment in over 20 years and there's going to be a lot of incredulous looks given by my dentist at just how bad my teeth and gums are. As you can all guess, I'm soooo looking forward to it!

Rhiannon, some evening can you take your BG level, take the medical marijuana, then test again at 1 & 2 hours? Even if there are no carbs in the product, some medications do seem to induce a glycogen release (raise BG level).

140 this morning.

Managed somehow to over do things yesterday and paid for it last night with spasms, etc. I'm going to take things a little easier today.

Reminds me that I'm scheduled for jury duty this August. I'm going to ask my neurologist about getting a medical pass. Could be for the best.

I'd forgotten about going for jury duty all the years I lived in Manhattan. Yet another reason you really don't want to live there...

A 93 (5.2) this morning.

70F and clear, small chance of rain tomorrow and Friday, 50%+Saturday thru Tuesday. We need a little more break. Millwood lake is still rising because they are holding it back until Red River drops some more. It is 20+ feet above normal level.

Going to do a stress test today. Two hour drive into heavy populated area. Where I live, there are 3 or 4 stop signs. Next time I ride around the loop, I'll count. IF they could only take measurements while I drive.

3,6 this morning.
It didn`t come as a surprise because I knew I had done a little bit to much in the garden yesterday, and then my BG seems to be a bit unstabile.
Its been quite busy here. We have tried so hard to help my little sister who is addicted to alcohol and phanazon-caffeine. We offered here a home with us and she stayed for four weeks and we thought it seemed like it finally was getting better. She didnt use any alchohol and she finally started to understand that those massive doses of Phanazon-Caffeine was bad for here.
The first time she was alone she wnt and bought alcohol, took a lot of anti-depression drugs and had to be picked up by the ambulance.
My BG dropped like a rock when I got the phone from the ER and then my epilepsy started.
Its kind of strange to see that what affect my emotions is reflected in my BG.

91 (5.1) this morning. Well another trip around the Sun and I'm a year older today ! My, they sure seem to go by fast but, hey, still here and kicking so on for another ride.
We never got any rain yesterday, just a little dribble off and on. Still a chance today through Friday but only a slight chance.

120 (6.7) this morning. Apparently jury duty food is worse than wedding reception food LOL Yesterday was not as bad as I thought it would be
It was a double murder case we were being selected for. However, the judge declared a mistrial because it seems some potential jurors did not follow the judges orders NOT to talk about the case while on break. So that was a huge waste of tax payer money!!!!!

Walkerwally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I Hope it's a great one :whoo:

77 (4.26) this partly thunder cloudy morning, 82 (4.5) at bedtime last night.

(((((Optimist)))))

Happy Birthday Wally!!! Enjoy your day!

It was hot and miserable up in town yesterday, I was exhausted when I got home. Early evening we had a rip roaring thunderstorm with lots of rain which cooled things down thank goodness! Today is cooler, 79°F but thunder storms in forecast for later today.

New A1c is 4.5% maps to estimated average glucose of 77. I will post a new thread with the other readings and a rant.....

Canadian Dude, my experience at dental care has been a miracle, so have faith, yours may be too…

I have had the worst mouth all my life and had nearly every tooth filled. 5+ years ago I had to have surgery on my gums because of gum disease but once I went on LC/HF I've had no more problems. I do get them cleaned every 3 months because the surgeon told me I'd have to have more surgery if I didn't but there is almost no tartar to remove. Since you are eating to your meter you may only have to remedy past sins and be happier than you've ever been. It was the carbs that were messing me up and now I don't dread dental checkups!

Good luck,

Happy Late Birthday WalkerWally!

protocol, 97 is a great FBG. You will learn a lot and your control will get better and better - time and internal healing plays into this.

Snap Nancy, 90 (5.0) this morning for me also.
They are saying there is a 30% chance of thunderstorms tomorrow but so far it has all fizzled out so far here. There was a downpour west of here yesterday with some flooding so at least there was rain somewhere.
