Default Not diabetes related, but funny anyway.

This morning as I was coming out of Walgreens, after picking up my Novolog prescription, I noticed a middle age lady standing by my car and trying to put her key in the door lock. Not knowing exactly what was going on, I asked her, "May I help you?" She looked up, very surprised and said "Well, I can't get into my dumb car." Then I noticed a black Nissan parked two spaces away from my black Camry. I said to her, "Maybe your key doesn't work because you have the wrong car?" Then she realized that indeed, she DID have the wrong car and apologized all over the place. I told her not to worry, that it was cold and she needed to be in her car where it was probably warmer. After she drove away, I secretly smiled because the same thing happened to me several months ago and I really did feel silly. Thought maybe some one here would get a laugh from this story.

Or, get into your car, sit there for a moment and wonder why you left your car unlocked, then look around and see stuff that isn't yours...oh for the love of.....this isn't my car!!!! Get out quick before someone thinks you're stealing their car!

Depending on what part of the country you are in, that could get a little "tense".

My younger son who lives in northern WI, was having car trouble several weeks ago. He had just finished looking under the hood and gotten back into his car when a young, nice looking lady got into the passenger side of his car and said "Thank God you finally got here." She looked at him, realized that he was a stranger and said "Oh my God, I'm so sorry - I have the wrong car." We still laugh about that.

The nice gentleman is looking around, trying to find where he left his shopping cart. I am running by other shoppers, pushing a cart, shouting, "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!"

Or you come out of the store to find your everlovin' loading the groceries into a car which looks exactly like yours, only there's a carseat in the back! 'Oh no-no-no-no', sings 60yo me to 70yo everlovin' . . . we do NOT and never will have a baby carseat in our car!

Would love to have been a 'fly on the wall' when your everlovin' realized he made a wee mistake with the groceries

Years ago when grocery stores had people who would take your groceries out to your car for you - apparently one had left a customer's bags in my car on the back floorboard (we didn't lock our car doors then, either). I didn't find the bags until there was a smell coming from the fresh chicken. I can imagine the conversation the owner of the groceries must have had with the store manager.

Done that myself - only in my case the key opened the door and I sat in the drivers seat and it was only when it wouldn't behave in the ignition that the penny dropped. My car - same model - was next to it.

Anyway, it was the previous year's model - I didn't want it anyway.

Autopilot in operation - not a great idea with a car but it does happen!
