Cool My curiosity is killing me.

This past week I have had two people contact me regarding the inbalance of pH in the body and its effect on degenerative diseases including diabetes. After the second one spoke to me today I started doing a little research on the computer and found this.

According to the research of Dr. Enderlein our bodies can only be healed of any chronic illness when our blood is at normal, or slightly alkaline. An imbalanced pH affects the cellular activity in the body, leading to the progression of most degenerative diseases, including cardiovascular disease and heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer, diabetes, systemic weight gain and obesity.

I was just wondering is this a bunch of whoee or is there something to it. The full article can be found at this address:

http://www.helpfulsubjects.com/2015/...-health-risks/

My first caller who I didn't know, however a friend of mine who I respect gave him my name, stated he knew someone who was getting great results to numbness and loss of feeling in her fingers and toes after 10 days of drinking PH balanced water. For your information he was also trying to sell me a machine that perfectly balance the pH of drinking water.

Today a friend of mine, who I respect, told me she was reading a book on the pH balance of your food intake and its effect on your weight loss. She also stated its positive affect on other health problems such as arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Quite frankly my curiosity has now been raised to the point that I felt like I needed to see if there was anything to these claims. Balancing the acidity in water is a fairly simple process.

Has anyone heard of this or have any information on the legitimacy of the claims.

bugg can't help but hope...

I have read that the human body is perfectly capable of keeping the correct pH level at all times. It doesn't need special waters or foods to do this. The pH in humans has been fine for the many thousands of years before someone came up with the idea of the need to "fix" it.

While I don't subscribe to the idea of alkaline only diet, at least to me the point is well taken - need a balance of both especially if doing LCHF (which is acidic especially if in ketosis all the time). Need to eat more legumes, nuts and veggies, not just meats. Of course the Eskimos would disagree but then again I am not an Eskimo.

I'll have to dig around but there was an article regarding the "Alkaline Diet" and such claims. In fact PH balance is critical and the body is very capable of keeping it in a close range. I'll post that when I can find it.
