Well, from my viewpoint, perhaps yours too and most of the World, 2008
has been one interesting, crazy and devastating year. Peace on Earth must

I truly appreciate all your hard work, support, time and countless contributions.

I do hope that you all had a Wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah(Chanukah) or whatever your Traditional Holiday may be.

Hey Terrie :), That's so nice. It's 2009 now and to look forward into the future and see breakthroughs in diabetes technology and complain that there is a cure. Will it be this year? I guess we will never know. You are a rare find Terrie and so deserves a great big smile on your face. This is what life's all about and to better ourselves in no matter what capacity that you're in. You're a good egg. :D:D:p

Hey Richard: :D

Always Good to see you. Awwww thanks. Some exaggeration there, Friend. You probably just want to take off for a nap. ;)

Yes, we are keeping warm and we use the fireplace sometimes.
I think I mentioned on here that I was on Humira injections(which didn't work) for severe RA, then on Enbrel injections(my RA got worse), now I'm on Orencia infusions. I hope this drug works for me.
Funny how we react (or don't) to different drugs.

Our city buses have been on strike for about 23 days which has been a pain for many. Thankfully my Daughter's Boss picks her up at her apartment and drives her to work. Then our Friend next door picks her up to drive her back home or to our place. I hope it's over soon.

My Hubby had his 3rd surgery about 2 weeks ago since he was more able to walk. Hopefully he will recover from it Well and be back to work in February.

I hope that you and your Family are all doing Well also Richard. :)

Well, probably not this year Peter but maybe sooner than we expect. I'd be so lost without Diabetes. I'd have to take hypnosis classes on how not to feel Diabetic. I think being normal would feel Nice though.
Thank you Peter. :) You're one Good young Man. Oh btw, I'm a little envious that you are tanning out in the sun while I'm here shoveling snow. Did you get that bbq done yet?? :D

We are fine and dandy Terrie. We hate snow and ice on the roads so we try to have extra provisions stocked so we can coast through a few weeks without going out when needed. There are those frequent doctor appointments though. Can't just not attend those. I am sure you have much worse weather and roads than we do, eh?

Great to hear that you's are doing Good Richard. Yup, we have provisions also, just in case. We live in a large city so the roads are normally looked after. We've had quite a few snow falls but I think the most was a foot once, 6 inches another, etc. Just light snow usually. I think the coldest here so far was -27(16f)(with wind chill factor). We did get those crazy winds twice though. I know some states got them also. I slept through them but my Hubby said they were Bad.

It was -5c here today which would be about 23f in your language. Western Canada, particularly British Columbia and Alberta got it worst so far this winter with the snow and cold.

You don't miss appointments? I missed my GP appointment in November, My Ophthalmologist in Dec and my Pump Instructor(and NO Richard I don't want a pump) I cancelled twice. Just too many appts. especially around Christmas time.

Oh shucks, Hubby just informed me that we'll be getting about 6-8 inches of snow on Wednesday. I should rent a plow.

Oh I have missed a few appointments but that is rare. Sometimes rescheduling means several weeks later than the initial one was slated.

I don't understand why you had a pump instructor appointment if you do not want to pump??? I suppose you did not recshedule that one.

Your temps and amount of snowfall are almost identical to my area so far this year. I am sure that your average temp in the winter is much lower than here though. We have had several days recently in the 40's (F) including today.
