Hahaha yes this is true in oz Kris. Its a form of affection for us. Its like when you have kids as well, if your parents called by there special shortened nickname, you knew all was good but if they ever called out to you using your full name..ummm you could be in trouble..i do the same with my kids.:)

In the past I always used Duffyjr for usernames. I was given that name when I joined a local golf club my dad was a member of and they called him Duffy.

Well mine is not nearly as clever as most. I've spent 29 years in the fire service, retired from my career department in 2013 after serving the last seven years as fire chief. Upon retirement, I thought I would give back to my hometown by joining the small volunteer department for "fun." Six months later I was asked to take over the chief's position when the then current chief stepped down. The department's identifier is 91...and therefore....Chief91.
