back in the early 80s I didn't much care about the stat of the nation (I was a kid...lol)
but about 25 years ago I was watching a documentary on the
"Iran Contra Scandal"
I needed a name for my soldier in the game Delta Force, so Contra was born
been using it for gaming ever since
and NO I have never played the game Contra...lol
When I was first diagnosed in the ER, the RN that was assigned to me walked in the room to tell me the results of the blood work said to me "You're sweeter than a candy cane, and that's too sweet for me". When I first found this forum (and any other diabetic forums) I use that phrase - TooSweetForMe.
It all began when my then 4 year old daughter and her pal decided to call their fathers, "Fat Dad." At that time I had a vanity plate, but I didn't really take to it. So, I went and got the next available option, "Fatt Dad," which rides with my car today. (She's now 25 years old.)
When the internet came along, I just stuck with fatt-dad in my emails and such. So, that's me!
I'm from the Alamo City :)
