Default Getting To Know You

You have probably already done this 100 times in the community now, but one of the things I love about forum communities is getting to know people from all over the world, so I hope you will bear with me on this.

I would love to know more about you and your corner of the world.

I live just outside of San Antonio, Texas. I am not much for the city, but I love time out in the country, just exploring nature and old dirt roads.

My passions outside of the communities I manage are photography, writing, and the outdoors. I love that technology has allowed me to combine all of these. I can work from home, sitting next to the campfire when I am camping, or even in a little coffee shop.

I have a couple of crazy cats, so I may be the perfect definition for a crazy old cat lady.

Tell me a little about you!

Hi Cricket,

I live in the desert outside Las Vegas, Nevada. I too have been interested in photography for the past few decades..

A small path in the desert looks much different here.

I live in Ohio, about forty miles south of Cleveland. My husband and I are retired expediters and have been in all of the lower 48 states and most of Canada. We are owned by multiple shih tzus, we don't breed, we just fell in love with the breed. I work from home, selling an all natural weight loss product and when we're not tending the pups, you can find us at our Grandson's baseball field. He's on a travel team so the schedules are a lot fuller than regular youth league, tiring but so much fun!

Default Kansas City

Hi Cricket...

I am not sure I can get my picture to load, but I will give it a try. My wife and I are living in the Kansas City, Missouri area. We have been retired for 3 years and have 3 kids who are grown up and have families of their own. We have 6 grandchildren, 4 girls and 2 boys ranging from 6 months to 20 years old.

I have a number of hobbies many of which I started working on when I retired. I am learning to play the banjo and also went back to practicing doing magic for kids, something I did as a kid. That with being secretary and chief bottle washer for my loving wife keeps me out of trouble and happy!

We both were born and raised in Colorado and were again granted a world championship from our favorite football team the Denver Broncos. Also our favorite baseball team won the world series, the Kansas City Royals....so what a great year last year was for our fan clubs....

By the way we have three Golden Retrievers....and yes I love to hunt birds with them!

I live in the Chicago suburbs so I don't have pretty pictures of the untouched outdoors. But I do have pictures of my two cats!

Big Red is the most loving, goofy cat I've ever met

I work from home as a software developer, basically typing for a living. This is why you may not see me for stretches of a time, because after working for 60 hours, I am not always keen to log on to my computer!

My employer is in San Antonio though, so maybe I should hunt Cricket down the next time I'm in town to say 'hi'!

We're probably next door neighbors. When we moved south from Cleveland, we landed between 40 & 50 miles south of Cleveland.

We're outside of a small village called Lodi. May I ask where you are?
