I struggle to drink enough water. For a long time I ignored water drinking, based on how much we need being controversial and falling on the side of not drinking worked best for me. Finally accepted I really do need to drink more water.

Am prone to kidney stones, so told to drink lots of water. Take toxic meds so told to flush kidneys by drinking lots of water. But it's hard for me.

Enter this: Amazon.com | Primula Today Shake and Infuse Pitcher - Spacious and Innovative Infusion Chamber - 100% BPA, PVC, Phthalate, and Lead Free - 3 Quarts - Red: Carafes & Pitchers

I'm hooked! My first experiment was strawberries and lemon. Great. Added mint. Fantastic.

Next batch was cucumber and mint, and this is my favorite of the two, and I can't get enough.

The wonderful thing is, you can keep adding water and keep the innards for a few days, though my strategy is to empty the infused water into another pitcher and start over with something else, so I have a choice of water going.

Does anyone else do this? Would love to hear other favorite combinations. Love cilantro but not sure what to mix that with ...

Although this pitcher was not expensive at $17, it could as easily be done in any container and just sieve the water.

One of the nurses at the rehab had a similar pitcher and brought it everyday to be sure she drank enough water.

I do wonder tho' if the fruits add carbs to the water tho'?

Do a search for "spa water" and you'll find many choices for making the infused water.

We began using spa water at office celebrations instead of juices or punches and they were a big hit. Yes, too many sweets were still served but the infused waters gained many new advocates.

Having a pitcher with the day's water requirement is a good idea, though, infused or not. Gives you a visual status of how close you are to your goal.

I personally like to make ginger tea and dilute it so that my beverage has just a hint of ginger in it.

Thanks. So many possibilities - what fun! I had no problem drinking water when driving, but it seemed there should be a better solution than going on road trips to get my allotment

I planted more herbs on the deck again - for cooking and water.
