Got delayed a little bit Moon. Sister was visiting a few days. We were all chatting about the difficulty of letting go of stuff. She's clearing out my late brother's home, Mom is clearing stuff out of the attic which includes both grandmother's things and Dad's stuff. It's hard, but it helps me sort out stuff. I certainly don't want to burden family with going through my stuff, so more will be gone than planned by the end of the year, I'm sure.

I keep telling Mom though who hassles me about my quilt fabric hoarding - selling my fabric will be easy. Just measure the yardage and fold it and place on table. Then advertise QUILT SHOP FABRIC SATURDAY ONLY for $2-3/yard and it will all be gone.

Delays, ha! As long as I'm moving forward, I've let go of caring about the pace. I read a helpful article about how the next generation really doesn't want our stuff (the polite word) so I lost that hangup. It all helped me get over the gotta-do-it-all-asap paralysis.

I also have trouble of letting go of things, sentimentality gets in my way. So when I got rid of my parent's things, I took photos of what was sentimental and that made it easier. I was incapable of tossing things in the trash like awards, plaques, etc (not exactly things one can donate) but the photos made it possible. So much of letting go is memories, but I now have a photo album of their stuff, and one of mine, which refresh the memories just fine, and I don't miss the physical objects.

I just want to have enough handmade socks, afghans and quilts to last me 20 years or so. Then, after I've lost my vision, I can sit in my comfy chair on a quilt, with a afghan over me and my comfy wool socks and listen to all my audiobooks.

Sorry for the late reply on this. I was finally able to stop the horrible leg cramps by adding Magnesium Malate to my supplements.

I am getting better at just saying "no thank you" without feeling the need to add an explanation. Yesterday in the store, my daughter's friend grabbed a few candy bars, including one for me. My daughter quickly put one back while explaining that her mama couldn't have that. I smiled and said that actually I CAN have that, but I just choose not to, thanks though.

The is a great attitude and way to look at restrictions. "I choose" denotes one is in control.

Default Spam phone calls

Got yet another spam phone call. Caller ID said MED CLINIC. I wasn't expecting a call from a doctor but answered it anyway. A recorded message about a back brace. !!!!!

These folks are so sneaky. We're on a No Call list but lately it doesn't seem to be deterring these pesky spammers. One of them calls us about 2x a day, almost every day. I Googled the phone number and seems this is a very persistent phone spammer.

I have been away from the forum for a while battling the blues, but want to reconnect since this place is the only place where I can share.
Well, I cleaned the house (almost all of it ), got the laundry done (again almost all of it ), and got kids started on the new school year. Lots of new books, lots of new adventures.
Still can't face the doc. Too scared to run the bloodwork. Not for sugar (because I have been good about keeping low carb), but for kidneys. I can't face any bad news, so I am hiding in books.
