Cricket,

I've started to ask for butter on the side when I order coffee. The Tim Hortons workers are totally fine with it.

I just tell them that it is supposed to be good for glucose control.

LOL......I think most of us remember the commercial with Mother Nature saying "Its not nice to fool mother nature" but I doubt any of us would have known the product was Chiffon. It sure came as a surprise to me.

I've ALWAYS been the extreme minority, and found it's more fun to be insane, as it scares away the self-righteous and the stupid who think they are wise.

Hmmm...... Fill me in on this. Do you put the butter in the coffee? I put lots of half and half in mine.

Half and half is higher carb than Heavy Whipping Cream! I use HWC only...

Y'all know that butter doesn't improve diabetes control, right?

Let me explain why many of us put butter in our coffee.

IF YOU LIVE A LCHF/KETO LIFESTYLE, sometimes people have a hard time getting enough fat in throughout the day. By adding butter and/or heavy cream to your coffee, it simply gives you an easy way to add to your fat for the day. If you are NOT eating a LCHF/KETO lifestyle, you really don't need to increase your fat intake.

Just saying...

in a strange twist of logic, if one can remove butter from heavy whipping cream and end up with a lower fat milk, then I can also approximate heavy whipping cream by adding butter to coffee cream. LOL

its funny but it m8ght even be better considering that the HWC producers add dextrose to their product in my neck of the woods.
