Just had this for dinner

Default Just had this for dinner

Porterhouse steak grilled
3 x baby Chinese broccoli
2 x asparagus
1/2 to3/4 tablespoon mustard sugar 0.1g crabs 0.3g
Tbsp Spicy capsicum dip Less then 1% Carbs sugar less then 1%
Fresh salad cucumber lettuce spring onion
Hoyts 3 hot peppers (in a jat) not very hot thought sugar 0.3g Carbs 0.6g


Now i picked out all these dips peppers mustard's most with no sugar/Carbs or really low amount, and it tasted really nice my question is are these foods/dips Ok what i have read here they sound like they are i think :-)

Z? I took the liberty of moving this post over to the "what's for dinner" thread. It's a sticky thread easily found right at the top of this Diabetes Forum Lounge board.

Your condiments look fine to me . . . when you get into trouble with them is things like catsup or bbq sauce which are heavily sweetened with sugar, cane juice, corn syrup or HFCS.

Most dips and condiments are fine if they are less than 1 carb, just watch the portion. Where people get in trouble sometimes is with things like salad dressing. The portion size is 1-2 Tablespoons and they eat 1/2 a cup. I find I have trouble with things like hummus. It is a low carb but when I am dipping I tend not to count all the dips and I overeat. But your meal sounds great.
