Default Finding My Way Back

Although I realize there will always be highs and lows with any disease, what drives me crazy are those times when 1 + 1 doesn't equal two. What I have to learn though is not to give up when things don't go as planned. I think maybe sometimes I just get sick and tired of being diabetic and find myself giving up on those things that I know work. So here I am, once again, returning to what I know, without a doubt, works in the long run for me.

(1) Test and record daily.

(2) Track my meals and understand that while some people can get away with a few more carbs, 20 per day seems to be my limit.

(3) Walk daily, even if it is just around the block.

(4) Ask for moral support instead of hiding from the world when things are going wrong.

Good for you Cricket, for laying it all out there. Sometimes all we need to do is make ourselves a little more accountable, and letting the forum group in, gives us that!

Speaking of support: It's hard, sometimes, to give support and/or advice when we don't know what type someone is. Would you care to add what type you are to your posting profile?

I believe I explained in my intro (I may be wrong.) that I am not 100% certain. My doctor told me I am type 2. The hospital told me that was incorrect, that I am type 1.5. When I attempted to ask him about it, he told me it doesn't matter that my treatment would be the same.

It the end, I was too weary of fussing with him to ever ask again.

Fair enough. I never read introductions.

What I suppose is that, apart from the medical support or suggestions, moral support is also very important as Cricket said.

It has been vital to me. This community gives me accountability to myself, and I need that.
