ok, if i'm putting people off from posting, i am sorry. i did 8 trainer miles last night and 5 tonight. read up on training on machine and i think now i know why i wanna do it. it is the endorphins! post ride feels sooo goood! i get home and wonder if i should... then i get kinda psyched up a bit and feeling better.... climb on and its rock and roll baby! my legs haven't been sore or felt this good in years and years. got off bike with a 74bs i'm going to eat some chili and cheese and hotdogs. drink lotsa water. a hippy reborn, man. it just feels so comfortable after the work.

Not putting anyone off I don't think. I am night 19 of a stretch of 21 straight 12 hour graveyard shifts and haven't even been able to check into the forum most days. Will have to catch up on reading what everyone has been doing when this maintenance outage is over.

I've been getting lots of steps and floors in, I'll try to remember to post a grand total of each when it's over.

8 miles on trainer. sitting here getting off on my hormones. don't think i'm going to ever need another drink. working up to going to mom and dads on bike sometime this summer. 4 mile to and 4 miles back. what will be nice is resting some on downhills. for now i just crank and work to increase my cadence and recruit my left leg to do some work-share the load ya bum! best birthday present in years. wife sits and does puzzles while i sweat all over her floor then watch me mop it up.

Not bad considering the fact that early this evening I decided I wasn't gonna leave the couch. Then, I decided to walk to the corner store for a protein bar and just kept walking...

I had a cardiologist appointment yesterday. One of the questions he asked me was if I was active. I told him I just got off 22 straight nights of graveyard shift and that I averaged 15,492 steps and 44.25 floors per night. I think I was active. Now maybe I can start getting some time to enjoy exercise.
