friday beginning bs 127 10 miles then an 82 averaged 12.2mph.
sat night started with 123 bs did 5 miles with some sprint and recovery, ended with 82. did another 5 before hanging it for night, started with a 109 ended with an 83. my cadence is crawling up. average watts coming up. sprint watts best yet. "fighting for it all day, fighting for it all night, give us just one victory and we're on our way." thanks for the inspiration todd rungren.

rpm up 10. started with an 84, ended with 84. exploring the science of lactate. looked at and fought with the mental intimidation of the incline(s) i'm going to face remembering that i once did those climbs every stinking day.

I've been slacking off the past couple of days after my weekend in hell at work. Driving thru lunch and after work traffic in Little Rock on Monday was like stress relief compared to work this weekend. I live on the outskirts of a community with a population of 200 or less and work is in a town with the population of 5,000 if that tells you anything.

Will get motivated to get in more steps and some bike riding after this 3 nights of graveyard shift.

took monday off for a good rest. my knees today are complaining like maybe i should have gone an easy ride instead. mbuster, i hate town. 4500 folks in a town 3 miles from me on way to work. out here i have maybe 20 people within a half mile radius. i like the woods. "elbow room!" shouts daniel boone.

did 5 mi. started with 92 ended with 81. the improved cadence showed up after about a mile. going to do some hiit things this week to see if i can improve power and up the cadence. going to push the lactate zone on the way. if i do it any way near correctly some of this is going to hurt.

ok, did 2 sets of 14 minute hiit. averaged 13.4mph first set 13.5 second. i ride 2 minutes at easy pace then 20 secs as fast as i can manage, 2 minute recovery then 20 sec sprint. second set i hit my first 20+ mph then i did it 4 more times! actually holding it for 10-15 secs. started with 92bs ended at 80. time to eat, shower and relax. i can see the future adaptation to this is as soon as you recover- sprint again. you can tell because your cadence returns to normal. see how this feels tomorrow morning.

I have only been average a 1-2 mile walk a day this last week. I need to get back on track.
