milkmaade, one does what one can. I can't do much "real" exercise because of a back injury and constant fatigue. I do some stretching and mild exercises and walk when I can (less than a mile on the treadmill), but not on a regular basis.

Grilled burgers for Father's Day afternoon then went on a 6.3 mile hike with a couple of the grandkids.

Getting ready to go camping this weekend. Took the bike in to the bike shop for a tune up and found out one go my gears on the back cassette had broken loose, that explained the problem I've had recently with it suddenly shifting on its on for no reason. They said I'd get it back in time for the camping trip.

Daily steps have been pretty erratic, 20,000 one day and 4,000 the next, but hope to get back in line with that too.

glwison, after thinking about cat scratch fever a bit, I remembered another applicable song also from Uncle Ted - Stranglehold

Got lots of steps in while camping, 17,000-20,000 per day, mostly in the early morning before it could even think about getting hot. I would walk the full length of the campground and back every morning before breakfast, a 4 mile round trip.

Rode my bike around in the campgrounds a few miles with one of my grandsons a couple of times. Last night, took off by myself and rode the length of the campgrounds and then out to the main highway and back, for a 16 mile ride. I forgot how hard and long the first hill out was, my legs remembered today.

I just bought a stationary bike just so I can keep moving when I don't go to the gym. I'm not a fan of the stationary bike. I rather ride a bike! But, I'm determined to drop some weight before my next doctor's visit.

been a while. 2 weeks with only one ride per. put it up a gear on trainer and working up to cadence. going every other day to recover and strength training in between. found out i was leaning a bit to port on bike, corrected it and strain in right hamstring went away. b-a-l-a-n-c-e. alamogirl- the quickest way i know to loose weight is loosing the carb count. carbs down, weight goes with it. in 2013 i weighed 250, a year and half ago i was at 225-got a pre diabetic diagnosis- killed carbs now at 188. i could stand to drop a few more. maybe 10-15. we'll see. no, it aint easy.

Trying to find time to ride again. With the Tour de France going, watching it, and then it is getting hot. Not a good excuse, but its all I got. I've averaged about 14,000 steps per day the last 7 days, exceeding my daily goal of of 12,000 steps for 6 of them. Was 580 steps shy of making it that day.

Put my stationary bike together last night, and got on it while watching TV. I'll probably get on it from now on just to vary my exercise routine.

Did 25 min of stationary cycling yesterday along with using mild weights. I could have ridden more, but the daggum seat was hurting my booty.
