I accidentally let the dog out and chased her around the neighborhood. Probably 3/4 mile and most of it uphill. The scariest part of it all was when she went through someone's back yard and I saw a sign that said "Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."

After a lazy spell, getting in less than 10,000 steps Monday and Tuesday combined, I got 14,270 Wednesday and 20,636 Thursday. I had a lot of computer based training to complete at work. I'm still 6-7,000 steps behind my wife and daughter in this week's work week hustle on fitbit. Today is the last day to catch up, but I have 7 hours of driving, there and back, to watch the Razorbacks and Missouri football game. If I'm lucky, I ll get a couple of hours of walking in today before and after the game.

I have a bad knee so a lot of exercise is out for me. I've gotten on my Health Rider a couple of times this week for a little bit of movement.

Finally got up to 1/2 hour on the treadmill by doing two 15 minute sessions. Total of 1 mile. I am ashamed to say it has taken me almost two weeks to get here. I keep thinking 5 minutes beats 0 minutes. Pray for me and I will pray for you.

Also first day of blood glucose self testing, did 3 tests today. Just writing this out helps my feeling of commitment.

No shame! I'm proud of you. Prayers exchanged!

Not sure what makes up a bad knee for others, but I can get my knee(s) sore walking a lot and sometimes I'm usually able to pedal the soreness out on my bike. Not always but sometimes. I can't remember walking it out.

We should all strive to do what we can. Starting out should be done incrementally in stages, being careful not to overdo it, and increasing a little at a time when we are ready. No shame in that or backing off a little when necessary.

Today, I sorted through yarn that is stored in milk crates, which entailed pulling them out of the closet and setting them on the floor. When we found what we were looking for I picked them up and put them back.

Looks like the exercise thread has been quiet for a while. I've been active, I just haven't been posting. The last 28 days I've averaged 12,058 steps a day and have met my daily step goal 21 of those days. My current streak is 10 days in a row. I would be at 18 days in a row but I left both my fitness trackers at home on the chargers one morning last week. I'm pretty sure I got my daily goal in at work that day, but I can't prove it. The past 7 days I've averaged 13,984 steps per day, so I'm getting back on track again.

It's been very cold here the past two days. This morning we had a wind chill of 1.4 Fahrenheit or -17 Celsius so no out door exercise for me right now. Days like this I just stick to my climbing stairs routine. On average I climb over 500 stairs a day as a regular part of my day. It helps when you work near the top floor of your building. It's been years since I've taken an elevator.
Unfortunately I would like to do more ...
