I am always amazed at how surprised we always seem to be every year when the temperatures drop below freezing that stuff freezes. Its like, gee, did we forget the same things happened to freeze last year. Anyway, it did help me make my daily step goal shortly after lunch today. If the forecast is right and tomorrow morning will be colder, I can probably expect to have my steps goal made without any "homework".

Made my steps goal again today. Would have been hard not to do this week. Lots of steps to get things to keep stuff from freezing and to get things for thawing out stuff that froze. This week reminded me a lot of how the weather was when I first went to work in the power department 40 years ago this month. Except back then, we had snow to go with the cold weather.

Now the trick will be to get my steps in during my 7 days off.

Every morning I do a cardio workout with Shaun T of Beach Body fameI've been doing it since 2014.

As a Letter Carrier I walk 15 miles day, hills, stairs and let's not forget the current freezing temperatures.

When I get home I do Jeet Kune Do / Wing Chun 3 nights a week

Came to the casinos in OK to get away and lose the stress acquired during the sub freezing weather at work last week. Not hard to get your steps in when the casino is about a mile long(I was told it was a mile and an 1/8th from the hotel entrance at one end to the bingo parlor at the other end). Made step goal easily yesterday and will do so today. Only thing that would get in the way would be if I get on a hot slot machine that keeps paying. My confidence is high for getting my steps in because I haven’t had the pleasure of finding that machine yet.

Good luck, mbuster, on that machine.

I'd be concerned that the level of secondhand smoke at the casino would negate all those steps, but it's important to keep the momentum. And you might just win enough to build your own walking path.
