My exercise today was moving 5 inches of wet snow from my property and three others. The bulk of it was with a snowblower but the detail work was just me and a shovel...

Just got thru getting 12,000 steps in, got a late start. Did a lot of sitting around this morning trying to find a starter for my lawn mower, nobody has mine in stock not even the dealer. I guess I'll call back tomorrow and get them to order one. Then I went and got heart worm preventative pills for my dog. That was a 35.8 mile bike ride.

Just an unsolicited comment. This is off topic, yet figuratively on topic no matter what thread I post it so here goes: I think this forum is a fine example of surrounding yourself with great people. It is an honor to be here. Lot's to learn. Many people with two ears and one mouth. And, daily inspiration. Warmest wishes to all, NSDad.

Shoveling heavy wet snow from our sidewalk and barn area; this is the second Nor'easter in two weeks. Will be doing the same today but will use the tractor for the access roads.

Does sitting on a tractor and plowing count as exercise I am using the hand controls to move the plow up/down and side to side though.

I suppose that's light exercise. Then there's getting on and off the tractor...

Seriously, I'm not one to claim that using the snowblower is much exercise -- it's mostly walking and occasional reps pulling the 'blower out of drifts. But I do believe that motion is good, in almost any form it happens.

My tractor has some looseness in the steering and one field I keep bushhogged (mowed) is a pretty rough. After getting 16,000+ steps in an hour, I don't wear my fitness tracker when on the tractor any more.

I think the same weather front is scheduled to hit us tomorrow - so far I have only had to shovel the driveway once this winter - that will likely change unless we get rain instead.

A different shoveling today; I cleaned out the horses stalls; it was much lighter than the heavy wet snow from the other day.

i did 10k steps 4 days in a row this week. i've been intermittent fasting at work so I'm using my lunch break to walk laps around the lab. Each lap is 140 paces, I don't even want to know how many laps that is
