well, had cell extraction practice today and i remain in one piece. came home and celebrated with a couple cookies and a great bowl of chili. 1/2 hr later i'm at 178. so i decide to track a trend of functionality i think i've noticed in last 3 months. waited 'nuther 1/2 hr at 140. jumped bicycle did a 10 miler it was76 when i got off 35:34 later. while i'm on the subject of science.....was looking at the BMI on the bike, you know enter height weight and it auto-magically give you BMI, it gave me a 27.5. (grumble) so i got out my calipers measured and got a 14.33% body fat. i'll bet you can just guess what setting i can't adjust on the computer(grumble some more).

BMI is such a crock. Those that believe in it automatically think roley poley when it could actually be the Hulks BMI.

Got in a little over 15,000 steps today.

Default Fence Post

My exercise for the last couple of days comes under the category of work. With the much needed help of my wife I have been digging out old rotten Strainer posts and replacing them with newies which weigh somewhere in the vicinity of a ton (feels like). 5' high by 12" dia. After a lot of muscle exercise (no bragging, mine) the post was safely resting in the hole. It took several hours of vegetation to recover then off to bed.
I can look forward to more struggles with posting the next few days. New exercise will be fencing, touche! more fun. Have had several hypos as a result regardless of cho precautions.

Made a bunch of steps making chili today but most of them weren't recorded by my fitness trackers because they weren't more than 7 steps without pausing. I went to my grandson's birthday supper this evening at a different place than I normally eat fish. I had 5,100 steps when we left home to go there. I had fasted since breakfast and didn't test before we left. Came home and tested my BG @ 7:30 PM 2 hr PP and I tested a 197. At 8:50 PM I tested a 78. Verified both tests. I also had 15,195 steps on my tracker.

Let me tell you a story about these 10,000+ steps. I woke up early, determined to get my steps done quickly, so I could get them out of the way. As you know, I am not a fan of cold weather, but I certainly didn't want to spend a 3rd day in the gym, so as soon as I finished my shower and made a quick stop for some warm gloves and a knit cap, I hit the road, to get my steps done. A little over an hour into my walk, I started to wonder why my Fitbit Blaze hadn't buzzed me any alerts yet, so I looked down to see how many steps I had taken so far. That was the moment when I realized, I had not put the dang thing back on after I took my shower.

Even though I knew I had put the time in, I still wanted my tracking to reflect no less than 10,000+ steps for the day, so off I went again.

I had a nice early evening hike (with my son) on the local creek trails. When the sunlight was gone, I finished up at the gym.
