15 mile bike ride. A couple of really close lightning bolts and a pretty good rain shower to start it out.

I rested today, I have been pushing the envelope, with exercise in the last few weeks, and I am tired.

I've added another layer of record keeping that goes with my BG tests. I basically setup a spreadsheet that is color coded based on the test score but I have incorporated activity level to see how much of an impact it has on my Test averages over a 24 hour period.
Based on my pedometer/smart watch thingy - I walked 25 miles two weeks ago, 24 miles last week, and I'm on track to at least equal that this week. I want to see if there is a distance or level activity that best influences my BG levels. Haven't found any yet but I'm just getting started.

Thus far, I have ridden to downtown Clearwater, from downtown Saint Petersburg: it is a nightmare to do, in the heat, and humidity; but I haven't been able to do it in a long time.

So, I pulled the trigger, to find out if I could, and I did; and I can't express my happiness at my success.
I think that I need to try, and do hard things, it is in my personality or something. I have to map it out to get an accurate distance, but I think that it is 20 miles, one way.

I am going to try for 50 miles, before I give it up for the day

I did not make it any farther, I went home and plopped down, and that was it for the day. It took me 3 days to recover from that ride, it was super tough to do. And that is my limit, 40 miles is all that I am trying for anymore.

Ended the day for 9/5 at 13,891 steps and 54 floors. When I got home this morning I was showing 9,601 steps and 33 floors since midnight. This could be a personal best month by the time this outage is over.

I walked to the coffee pot and back a few times today.

Does that count?

Seriously though, I absolutely have to find the motivation to start moving again. At least it is almost camping season here in Texas.

Counts only if it was three or more trips to the coffee pot.

Finished yesterday @ midnight with 18,880 steps and 86 floors. 9,178 steps and 26 floors head start on today since midnight. I think I better get ready for bed.

What was your exercise today?
I cycle, a lot. Sometimes when I go for a 30-35 mile ride (2-3 hours at a brisk pace) my blood sugar readings seem high when I get home. Last week after a ride when I got home after a shower I was got a 264 on my meter. What gives?

I know sometimes my BG goes up, sometimes goes down, after riding. If I get hot, I think it goes up more often than down. Probably adrenal hormones/cortisol or an overactive liver converting glycogen to glucose and dumping it into our bloodstream.

17,878 steps yesterday and 73 floors. Since midnight, 7,431 steps and 38 floors.
