If you want a really fun way to get your 10,000+ steps in, spend the day with your grandchildren!

Not only will you have a blast, it doesn't feel like work.

Got my steps goal made by 4 PM. I'm at 16,500 right now and don't plan on that growing anymore tonight.

Had my chili for supper and then decided to put the bike on the trainer. Pedaled for about 45 minutes and now I'm calling it a night.

Thats what I got. Get a good fan to blow on you too. Above 70 degrees, I work up a good sweat even with the fan. There is no coasting on a trainer.

I thought about getting a Bkool simulator. It is a trainer that adjusts the resistance as you ride, based on animated or video routes. It also plays the routes to the speed you ride. Some of the routes are free but others you pay a fee to use. Most if not all, you have to use their website to get. That's how it was a year and a half ago. Just a really cool idea and definitely more motivating sounding than just climbing on and pedaling to music or a TV program.

the 10 milers are paying off. did my 11 minute distance trial tonight and got 3.3 miles. best yet. bike has 20 levels of resistance i averaged 8. feels good. ate 4 oreos and 3/4 piece of Indian milk cake. was at 133 to start ride 14 minutes later i'm 105. what i like about this upright is it makes me do a warm down when finished. never used to do that. still have to grunt weights tonight but, i feel good. need pedometer for work, really curious how far i go at work in a day.

I'm a little under 16k steps on the Fitbit but my Garmin is my official daily goal step counter, I still need about 1200 more steps to reach my goal. It is 15,060 steps for today. No doubt I will meet my goal, just wanting to do nothing for another half hour but test my BG a couple of more times (supper experiment - that would be dinner for y'all not from the south).

That moment when you suddenly realize you're gonna be finishing your 10,000+ steps in the dark so you make a quick stop for a flashlight cuz ya don't wanna go to the gym.

Having a place to check in every day (here) helps me stay accountable to myself. I am so lucky that we have this thread.
