Does spending 3/4 of the day on my feet, baking in the kitchen, count?

Only if you didn't sample the product.

Seriously, I'll bet if you had a step counter on you, you probably walked a good mile or two just in the kitchen.

No sampling, I baked stuff for Cmas presents. I only tasted one item to see if it turned out like last year, but everything else was standard issue recipes I've been using for years.

I'm going to visit relatives for Christmas today and their house has stairs. I'll be getting a good workout.

I live in an apartment so I don't have stairs. I have an elevator. I think I'll try and take the apartment building's stairs more often, when I'm not carrying too many things.

I DO live upstairs in an apartment, so I have no choice in the matter.
Ugh

I carried home two big bags of groceries early this morning. Something in my right forearm hurts but other than that, I'm fine.

Would using a personal rolling shopping cart help you? I have one and really like it.

I had a "heavy duty" cart that broke on me one time. I was forced to leave the cart near the sidewalk and lug home super heavy stuff. Luckily, I had put stuff in two bags and then put them in the cart (just in case such an emergency should happen). I have recyclable bags that can hold up to 50lbs of stuff each. When I went back for the cart and wheel, someone had taken both.

Now, I try and make many short trips, carrying a bit lighter loads, which can be hard in super cold temperatures, especially if I have a throat cold. Ice on sidewalks is no fun either.
