OK - that was pretty silly. One suggestion really stood out though - the recommendation to "Have a Blood Test". How does having a blood test prevent diabetes? News to me! If only I'd had a few more in the 52 years preceding my joining the club......

Dear Diary:

What a day Ive had! It all started after my perfect nights rest. I was so groggy when I awoke that I nudged the scale in the bathroom with my toe, causing a nasty break. As I wrote yesterday, Ive had to ditch my car because the payments were so overwhelming, so I had no idea how I was going to get to a doctor. I decided to indulge my coffee craving while I tried to figure things out.

Fortunately, I keep good company (you know who Im talking about!), so I gave him a call. He really spices up my life more later. Anyway.long story short, he picked me up and off we went to get my toe taped.

Since Id only had coffee so far this morning, we started to head for Micky Ds for a yummy sausage and egg biscuit. Then I remembered that Id decided to go veggie more often, so we ditched the drive-in plan at the last minute. It turns out hes a real cereal connoisseur! We headed over to his place for a great breakfast of corn pancakes with a side of oat and barley porridge YUM!

We finally headed back out towards our original destination and I remembered that Id asked a few people over to dinner party tonight. Yikes! I was so full of cereal that I didnt think Id be able to pick the right appetizer if I fell over it!!!!

Ultimately we made it to the doctor, who insisted on taking a blood test before working on my throbbing toe. It was weird!?!

Despite the horrible start to the day, dinner was a complete success. Im sitting here unwinding like I do every day, but an odd thought just rambled into my mind. Do you think that any of this will prevent me from getting diabetes? I sure hope so!!!!

Thanks, dear diary, youre the BEST!

XOXOXO
Jen

That was a gem. I think I did all of those things, especially number 4. I guess I shouldn't have Diabetes. I think it is all a big mistake.
