He sure is a good looking guy, and without those fuller cheeks he does look better.

Daytona,

I wonder how you did that. The 't' is a tad bit far from the 'c' on the keyboard.

It's because I'm "hooked on phonics".

Thanks! I just love his character on 30 Rock, cracks me up. I don't really know anything about the actor but I like to see famous people give credit to cutting out the carbs.

Fun follow up: Alec interviews Dr. Robert Lustig about obesity and sugar. Here's the audio version too.

It's great that Alec has really taken his health to heart and found an effective way to achieve it (low-carb!). BUT it's terribly disappointing that Lustig freely admits that it's too hard to eat real food.

I wonder if he has such a hard time because his main focus is on fructose instead of the bigger picture?

Quote:
Alec Baldwin: And what are you eating that you think you shouldnít be eating?

Robert Lustig: Well, I have a half a bagel in the morning with cheese, thatís sort of my standard breakfast and my wife get son me for that.

Alec Baldwin: Right.

Robert Lustig: For lunch unfortunately because Iím running between you know patients, it often ends up something being very processed and itís a real problem.

Alec Baldwin: Right.

Robert Lustig: For dinner though itís a very standard dinner and I donít snack between meals and I still canít lose it. So I understand. Iím there. Iím part of it.

Part of his problem is that he isn't snacking and he's not eating enough

I didn't realize but also in the interview Alec said the reason why he went low carb is because he was diagnosed with pre-diabetes.
