Default Fasting benefits

Are there benefits to fasting? I have had 1 cup of coffee, and about 2 fat bombs. I'm not hungry, I haven't checked my BG since about 6:30 this morning. I'm not hungry, but have always been told diabetics should not skip meals. Does anyone fast, and if so give me some pointers.

eat to your meter....

eat when you are hungry...

dont eat when you are not hungry

The reason the medical community wants you to eat is because the medicine that people take can make your blood sugar go too low if you dont eat.

Fasting is very good and very healthy in my opinion

I did some intermittent fasting (IF) where I fasted 16 hours (skipping breakfast) and ate within an 8-hour timeframe. My BG overall went down and FBG reduced. I was able to get into ketosis more easily.

Unfortunately, I had to take some medication with food in the morning and that put a stop to the IF. Haven't been motivated to resume now that I've rearranged my medication schedule.
