Default WOW Moments

I know we all get "wow" moments. Sometimes they're good, sometimes not so much.

This evening my bg was settling in at 133. I took a 20 minute brisk walk and it dropped to 78! Wow moment. I just never see numbers like that. Until yesterday I never got below 108 or so. I didn't realize I could see such progress is only 8 days. (smiles and wonders what 8 months could do)

Anyone else want to share their "wow" moment, this is the place.

Take care!

I'd say WOW too. My best was walking steadily after a horse for 2 1/2 hrs and dropped from about 125 to 89.

I have got to start exercising more

Wow !!! As I've gained control over my D there have been several wow moments & it is difficult to pick one. Many of us use exercise as a medicinal therapy to drop BG numbers. However, in your case, you can expect more and more of such wow moments, but the numbers won't drop below the 70s if you're not using the SUs. Your A1c will then be another wow moment for you. Well done & good luck.

I'm very new on the LCHF diet, so everything is an experiment.
Today I tried blueberries and raspberries and adding heavy cream as suggested by the community.
At my one hour check-in my bg was 106. That's a low number for me in general, but after the fruit it seems good enough for a "WOW". I think I can eat fruit! At least berries.

Are there others who do ok with berries?

Oh yeah - if I don't go overboard, berries & cream are wonderful! So far I do better with raspberries/blackberries/blueberries, but I can do strawberries if I exercise a little restraint.

Berries with cream and a bit of splenda is my special dessert...when I want something sweet, that is what I have.

I do OK with some blueberries in my yogurt. I buy them in bulk when I can then freeze them. Tossed in the yogurt, they semi freeze it making it almost like ice cream.

Oh wow.
Now I know the meaning of overboard. SOS. Man overboard (or woman in my case)

My numbers are too high today. I haven't had numbers like that in awhile. Guess I'm not so good with berries after all. Sigh.
So much to learn.

And this is the most aggravating part - when we DO fall overboard, it isn't just for that meal's postprandial or even the next morning's fasting. It haunts us for DAYS sometimes! That's why I finally gave up treating myself unless it's a huge celebratory occasion (like our 25th anniversary coming up in two weeks - giving you fair warning my meter might explode . . .) Ah well . . .

Anything to do with horses grabs my attention. Is there a 'story' behind this post?
