sorry if i misled anyone. i don't use sweeteners while fasting but still use them when im eating a keto diet.

i too love stevia. in it only a matter of time and all my sweetener boxes will be used up and teplaced with stevia. im already switched over at work.

when i did a search for info on stevia, i found mixed opinions on it. i still don't whay to think about it,

but i figure it is probably healthier than splenda. some people claim that splenda can destroy some of your gut flora of the good kind.

today is day 1 of a water fast.
And since insulin reduction is my primary reason to fast, I decided to have a bulletproof coffee for supper.

This is the first time I have used a blender.......and WOW! wow is an understatement so how about #$€#€£¥ WOW!

Tonights recipe was 2 tossimo dark roast coffee, 2 tbs coconut oil, 2 tbs butter, 2 stevia, 1/2 tspn of cinnamon. Then I frothed it in a blender.

It came out incredable! The consistency of the blend stayed frothed to the last drop. i drank it in under 10min.

very good, perhaps too good.

Yeah, it is amazing when it is blended. I happen to add heavy whipping cream too.

It is way too good. LOL

I love heavy whipping cream. But decided to hold back because of the sugar content.

True, it doesn't have much and it is not considered a problem in bullet proof coffee, so maybe it was unnecessary for me to hold back on it. If so, please accept my deepest and sincerest apology. LOL

You know I don't mean the cans of spray whipping cream right?

I am talking heavy whipping cream in the carton. Example here. In most cases, it is less than 1 carb for a tablespoon.

Some people avoid dairy, so it is fine either way. As long as it is heavy whipping cream (not half and half) I haven't had any issue with it.

Added note: Average seems to be 0.4g carbohydrates per tablespoon.

yes i buy 35% instead of 18% coffee cream.

I know 1 gram of carbs is no problem for keto but I'm fasting so I have to set the rules to anything that aligns with my goals. I'm neither right or wrong, but I chose to go carb free tonight.

I wish fasting worked for me. I know a lot of people have wonderful success with it.
