Default Question about BG

Good evening. Are my levels too low? My BG is 99 taken two hours after a meal. I'm new to this and the numbers confuse me.

Are you on any diabetes drug? If not, I'd kill for that 2 hr PP number! If so, someone will be around to answer if you'll share that with us.

Another question, do you still eat if you are not hungry so that you don't miss a meal?

I would say that is a good number, not low and not high.

Yes the 99 is a good number.

One reason you're on this roller coaster is your body is learning what normal is. It's probably used to running at higher BG level so when you get down to what would be a normal range it sees that as a low so your body adjusts to go back where it likes to be.

This will pass in time, especially as you learn what to eat and how often your body needs food to keep from trying to adjust.

You might want to keep a jar of nuts or maybe an Atkins bar or shake at your desk to help as long as these don't effect you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thank you everyone for your support. It's strange how I packed up my two kids and relocated to s place where I know no one. God had blessed me with a beautiful home, a great job and a second chance on rebuilding my health to take control of my body.

That took some courage, you need to be mighty proud of yourself.

Yes. I'm very pleased with myself. I will be more pleased once I start to see better results on my meter and in my mirror.
