These are mine...

I want to start doing more writing just for me again.
Although I often write for work, my favorite writing is always the times I write just for me. It’s a release, especially when something is important to me. Other times, words just get stuck in my head until I give in and write them down…

I want to get motivated to get serious about physical fitness again.
I am not sure what happened here. I missed a few days of my daily walks and the next thing I knew, the habit was completely gone. I haven't been to the gym in months.

I want to get off Metformin.
Although I realize that Metformin has benefits beyond blood sugar, at some point I would like to be in a position of not being on any prescriptions.

My goals are:

To continue managing my diabetes as well as I can - keep my BG as close to normal as possible.

Retire before I'm 65 - I'm 62 now, but don't want to spend a fortune on insurance.

Spend more time with my wife and when I need to get away, more time on my bike. I would like to go on some more long rides, maybe even a how far can you go in 24 hours ride. Run Forest run.

I seriously need to find a used bike somewhere to see if I can still ride. I haven't done it since I was a kid.

I want to keep managing my T2D as well as I possibly can, and to start walking more.

Continue managing my health is really not a goal for me, it is a reality that I must do or my other goals will become irrelevant.

I have transitioned into retirement and the many things I never had time for, I now have time for....

Learn to play the Banjo started that 2 years ago...need more practice for sure

Learn to be a magician, mainly for my Grandkids...I have that going on already had 3-4 shows for my Grandkids....like most art forms you just keep learning and improving....

Travel more with my wife...we will do four trips this year lasting from 7 days to 2 weeks in length...

Fix up our home still doing our homework, nothing ready to start yet....

Write my 'story' for my kids to read after I am gone....I have this started work on it maybe once or twice a month.

Get back into drawing and oil painting haven't started this yet, but I will this winter....

This list seems to grow the further I get into retirement....

My goals have changed since the diagnosis

- Manage my diabetes for the remainder of my life
- Retire in about 4-5 years
- Visit Europe. I've never been to Europe. I would love to go to England and Italy.
