I am 36 years old born in Brampton Ontario in 1976 at 917am. I lived in Brampton until the ripe age of 29 when my girlfriend and I bought a house, 2 years after that I married my girlfriend and we bought a bigger house to settle down in a small town called Rockwood, it's a small town outside Guelph On if interested. We now have 2 kids, my daughter Ella is 4 and my son Cullen is 20months. They are awesome kids and have taught me just as much as I have taught them.

I have an awesome dog we adopted 6 years ago named Pumpkin, he's a Staffie X and falls under the controversial pitbul ban in Ontario, where they are grandfathering them out. Such a disgrace. I could not have ever got a better dog thatn my dog, he is amazing, I have never seen something so patient and good with kids. If he had thumbs I'd let him babysit. He even came to our wedding in a full tux and in the church, it was awesome.

I work as a dispatcher at a transportation company, I have been doing this for 14 years. Went to college for Police studies and never became a cop, nice waste of money. I love what I do now, it is great. I met my wife through work, she was one of our customers and I convinced her to go on a date with me. Nice!

Most of my personal time is with my kids but I still do play baseball in a mens league. I don't have much time for hobbies right now, my only hobby is my kids really, what else do I need? Not too much.

Life is great right now and I hope it stays like this for a long time, diabetes pr not.

Part of the reason I moved from Iowa was a new ban on Pitbulls. I have had nothing but pits since I was 12 or so. One of them actually saved my life while on a walk when a huge rotty tried to attack me. She jumped between us, got into a scuffle and sent it running.

Actually, my mother and brothers moved here shortly after me when they were told to get there pits out of the city or have them put down. My mother has 2 and my brothers each have 1.
Last year, the best dog I ever had passed at 14. Six months later my brothers best friend died at 15. The wife wanted another dog so we adopted our first non pit. She is a great dog but I miss my baby girl.

It is a disgrace. They are extremely loyal and willing to please. The stupid owners are what make them dangerous. In all my years with pits, I have never had one bite anybody or act anywhere near aggressive. Raise them with love and they will be loving.

Shanny, Shalynne, Patdart and 2 others like this.

Rudeboy, you hit the nail on the head. In my personal belife it nature vs nurture. It is the owners and how they are socialized. We got lucky, I adopted my dog and hes already 3 and he is perfect. My kids climb him, jump on him, we do tell them not to though. He just ignores them. The only time wr have a problem with him is when he gets over excited about something like a walk and knocks one of the kids down.

Born in New York, but raised in California - I tried other places in my wild early twenties but always ended up back here!

I've been with DH for 30 years (where has all that time gone???). No kids for us, but the inn is full with six cats ranging in age from 1 1/2 years to 13 years. We have the honor of tending a beautiful property here in Southern California and work hard to keep it natural, unfenced and open to people who want to enjoy the amazing Chaparral habitat. There is no place we'd rather live.

I've had my own bookkeeping business for about 25 years, and am a great boss. I give all my employees (me) several weeks off every year to go canoeing in Canada. The web has let me do that - I can do payroll for my clients from nearly any corner of the globe.

Life is, indeed, good.

I`m 47 years young, and I have been married for 29 years with the worlds best man. We have four sons, age 22, 23, 27 and 28 years old. One of them has moved out, but the rest of them still lives here.
I was born near Stavanger, Norway, but moved to the mountains near Telamark for 12 years ago.
We have an 8 year old poodle (which actually tells me when I`m hypo), a 4 year old italian greyhound and a 2 year cat from the animal protection.
I love a lot of stuff, but since my health is not so good as it once was, I now-a-days enjoy knitting, crocketing, making food, work in the garden or listen to books.
In october 2010 I got diabetes type 1.
But when I started to collect diseases in 2008, I didnt stop, so I`m now not able to work at all and use much of my time dealing with all those diseases that decided they would live with me.

That's so funny! My great-grandfather was from Stavanger.

That darn rain misses us every time. Had pretty good showers all around last couple of days but not one drop here

I was born in upstate New York and raised in Honolulu, where I met my husband. We've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since the early 80s.

We have a 30-year-old (yikes!) son, and we are owned by 3 dogs: a Coonhound mix, a Catahoula and a fluffy orange tabby (he's the alpha dog, of course) and 1 black cat (pure, unconverted feline, thankyouverymuch) who rules over us all.

My husband recently had a stroke, but is doing quite well now! But I had to take so much time off work that I retired early ... if only for the moment.

My first D-Anniversary's coming 'round in a few days. April Fool's Day, to be precise. I have no idea how I'd ever have coped without this site!

2011 was a major bummer, except for that retirement bit right at the end.
