Default My aching feet

So, I'm a Letter Carrier for USPS. I walk approximately 15 miles a day. Lately my feet have been killing me. And I don't know what to do about it. I've been to a podiatrist in the past, and they've done orthotics, lifts, and they don't do much. I've also done jell insoles, nothing.

The heel on my right foot hurts, and where the toes meet the foot as I step, hurts also on my left foot.

Sometimes I'm just resting and I can feel my feet throbbing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

R

Does this happen while wearing different shoes? Does this happen on your days off?

For the heal hurting, a chiropractor I've used a few times told my wife that her heal was hurting, not because of heal spurs, but because of fallen arches. He said it stretches something back at the heal and that is what is really hurting. He suggested folding a paper towel into a triangle shaped piece and putting in her shoe and build it thicker as she got used to it. He also told her to quit walking around barefoot in the house all day. That did the trick for her hurting heal and she no longer has to put in the arch support and she always wears her shoes now.

My big toe got to feeling like it was strained for a while after getting in several steps, didn't make any difference which shoes I was wearing. It finally just went away. My left knee was also getting sore and that may have altered my stride causing it. Since then I've started putting collagen in my coffee and it seems my knee is not getting as sore and the toe pain has not returned since it mysteriously left.

My knee soreness would actually be getting better when I'd go on long off and not be wearing my heavy (compared to tennis shoes) steel toed boots.

Could be plantar fasciitis. Check with a physiotherapist. My heal hurts crazy in the morning, especially when I put my feet down from the bed. Had some physio sessions and feels much better.

There is one pair of shoes I wear on my off days that seem to help. Unfortunately I can't wear then to work. Yes, on my off days the pain isn't as bad since I don't walk 15 miles, but it's still there.

I've been considering a chiropractor, just have to find a good one. I'm new to the area.
