I'm going to startup my beach walking hobby again. Do that every spring, summer and fall. Where I live we have sandy beaches that stretch out for miles so you can literally spend the whole day just walking in the sand along the water.

Here's a video I made to one of my music compositions called Beach Walking. All the beaches in this video are within a 10 - 15 minute drive from my place. I am very lucky!

Good morning all.

I love hiking (not the extreme strenuous stuff), reading and I'm big into landscape / wildlife photography. I don't do people. Yeah, I know....that sounds really strange.

Not at all (to me, anyway). I closed my real estate photography business last year. No weddings, no portraits; I did some of that for friends gratis/barter but did not want to make people my photographic subject. We all have our interests and preferences...

Where do you like to shoot?

Honestly, anywhere. I'll sometimes sit out on the front deck and watch the squirrels and birds. Now that we have a hummingbird feeder, I'm anxious to work on some high speed photography.

Also love scenic areas. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, NC, are two of my favorite places.

When we had a birdbath and feeder set up by the living room window, I was tempted to set up my second body to take pictures of the visiting species. Unfortunately, too often the visitor was Sciurus carolinensis (the common gray squirrel). I decided not to waste the use of a perfectly good camera on pictures of those. Never spotted a hummingbird anywhere I could photograph it, though.

That's what my wife and I did this year - setup a hummingbird feeder right outside the kitchen window and a pair have been visiting on a regular basis. I've taken quite a few pictures but so far only one has turned out ... I could watch those tiny birds for hours

We have a cabin in the mountains of northern NM. It's thick with hummingbirds up there. This first one I'm holding was killed by another hummingbird. You can see a bit of blood on my finger. They fight often around the feeders. We hand feed them sometimes too.

I wonder do Hummingbirds get diabetes?

Those GLHs were fantastic -- as long as you didn't have to round a curve lol Seriously, I lusted after a Barracuda as a kid -- GoMango with the Hemi. Cool collection there, Korey!
