I'm waiting to get back on a bike after a few years off. It'll be on a trainer since I'm not a fan of riding on snow and ice (we'll have plenty of it for another couple of months yet). But it's going to happen and I'm looking forward to it. I used to ride quite a lot; I imagine the really long rides will happen less frequently but now I'm retired so I can ride almost whenever I feel like it.

Other hobbies: cooking (that took a solid hit with my diagnosis but I'm enjoying it again), photography (don't even feel that SLR around my neck most days), and learning about stuff (why I usually have a couple dozen browser tabs open).

I've fished a couple of times and enjoyed it, but I don't have the gear and, as successful as I was(n't), I've learned I'm better off landing fish at the counter in the supermarket.

I live on a salt water estuary so we're pretty lucky in regard to the variety of species that make it up stream.

In past seasons I've caught Striped Bass, Rainbow Trout, Speckle Trout and Salmon. Catching the trout on light gauge line preferably a fly rod is a lot of fun but when fishing for striped bass I usually use a spin casting rod and reel with heavier line - usually a 20 pound test.

The best thing about fishing where I live - is watching all the Bald Eagles. They will actually keep an eye on me and if they see me with fish they get closer and closer to me. You don't appreciate their size until they get about 15 feet away from you.

One thing I want to do - haven't done it yet - is Tuna Fishing. Apparently Prince Edward Island has the best Tuna Fishing in the world - at least that's what I'm told. A lot of NFL Sports celebrities actually vacation up here to go Tuna Fishing. One of these days I'll have to catch a Tuna.

My hobbies are motorcycles. I have a 37 year old Honda Goldwing. I enjoy riding and working on it. I don't have any tattoos and my leathers are a bit too new to make me anything more than an enthusiast.

I also like campfires, hammocks, camp coffee, cast iron frying pans, woodstoves,

I volunteer with scouts, and I'm addicted to small projects. Things like building an alcohol stove from an aluminum can, converting an older incandescent lantern to an LED lantern, wrapping my scout knife with paracord, etc. I would be in heaven if they allowed me to participate in all the activities. This weekend, we are building scout trucks.
