I'm on day 7 of my fast.

Although I am on a longer fast, I really want to point out to anyone ready this that the intermittent fasting can acomplish anything that I'm acomplishing.

more, or longer, isn't always better.

I guess I need to read Jason Fung for more info, but I think I read somewhere a lot of the benefit comes in the first 24 hours. I know the 24 hours is doable, I may see if I can do 36 hours one day this weekend.

NSDad, are you still "Water Only" or are you doing BP coffeee, bone broth, electrolytes?

oh crap I cheated last night pickles pickles juice cheese and peanut butter

I'm definitely going to just keep going but I'm disappointed that when I finish this fast it's going to be 2 Fasts back-to-back rather than one fast.

I've also considered not never ever speaking of it and pretending it that it never happened but ultimately I think that's a really bad long-term strategy towards making progress

If I'm intermittent fasting I am moving towards the opinion that BP coffee and bone broth and electrolytes are training wheels that are best avoided but don't avoid them too often I don't want to actually avoid them so much that I fail to complete the fast.

When I do longer fast then I feel that there's a safety value to having the chicken broth in the BP coffee and the ACP electrolyte drinks so I try to include them everyday but honestly I don't always do that.

this last week I noticed a much better tolerance for tiny amounts of sweeteners I've been making iced tea from orange peko and peppermint tea. 2 pks of sweetener per 2 litres.

ultimately, we all get to make our own rules if one of you guys wants to intermittent fast with BP coffee, electrolytes as well as broth then who am I to judge on that? personally I think it would still be a good choice

oops i almost forgot. are you able to listen to podcasts while walking or working? if so, i could track down some dr doctor fung podcasts.

the podcasts often cover the same points in his book. in his book he makes a point, then backs it up with a study. you'll miss out on the supporting info but it will give you an idea of what it is like to read his books.

Probably couldn't listen while walking or working. A good cell signal is spotty around the house and I'm surrounded by too much metal and electrical equipment at work. Maybe walking in the house on a rainy day or just sitting here with the laptop watching a bicycle race on TV.

Well, I did the seafood buffet last night, but caved at work today. I had food that I took Tuesday night but didn't eat in the office fridge. Waste not, want not, lame excuse but I'm sticking with it.

one cup of BP coffee yesterday morning and ate about 6 PM. BG 88 when I got home. Ate way too much, chicken winglets, broccoli, cottage cheese, 3 slices of a tomato, a salad that had a few craisins in it. Had a few mixed nuts and a Corona Premiere (2.6 grams carbs) about an hour after. BG this morning 111 and a BP coffee. Will see if I can do just do water/tea again today or if I have to
do a BP coffee at work about noonish.

Only got 9500 steps and 15 floors in yesterday, too much computer time. That makes me want to eat if I'm doing much sitting around. 1.4 lbs lighter this morning, drank water and wee'd a lot yesterday, think I'll put some K and Na bicarbonates in my first bottle of water this morning. I rub in magnesium oil (transdermal) after I shower.
