Doing as little as possible during the day - taping a couple of fireworks specials for Mom to watch. May watch some Dr Pol during the day.

I'm turning this coming weekend in to a 4 day weekend. My daughter is on leave with the Navy so she is coming up for a visit and my son has been able to book a few days off from his Police Job so both kids could be home for a couple of days - it will be nice to see them.

Not doing anything special. Don't like the heat so will be staying indoors. However, going out for a steak sounds good.

No idea what we're doing for the 4th yet. We do have company from out of town. It's supposed to be stinkin' hot with thunderstorms and none of us like the heat and humidity so I'm not sure we'll get to do much beyond chill inside the house (literally).

Spending some time today with crafts. I made a set of Artists Trading Cards (ATCs) with an Independence Day theme that I will be trading with others at an ACT Club meeting on Sunday.

Thought I'd share with you all.

Hmm. I'm guessing that provides more than 20-25% of one's daily calories from protein. And aren't they supposed to eat the buns, too? Carb city....

All I can say is "yeesh".

[ETA apparently a Nathan's hot dog has 24 carbs. That's about two months of carbs for me...]

Since the holiday is on Wednesday, I took Thursday and Friday off, including the following Monday.

Getting some chores caught up on, pay some bills, went to the grocery store.
Have a Dr. appointment Thursday and Monday. Wanted to get the Acadia a tune-up, but the mechanic isn't responding, so I don't know if he's taken off the rest of the week or not.

I've never been a "holidays" type person. They are just an extra day off to me.
