I was going to try a Mediterranean diet but I think I'll go Keto. Too bad I wasted money on a Mediterranean cook book for beginners. I will have pay my bills before I get another book about keto (or I can just search for recipes online but I don't quite trust the internet anymore).

I bought some eggs and turkey bacon today (well, it's not exactly bacon but it tastes a bit similar and is a lot less greasy). I also bought some spinach, feta cheese, and cherry tomatoes for omelettes. Let's hope I don't get into the cheese too often. I know this is probably too carby but I have some cottage cheese and frozen strawberries that I can de-thaw for a snack or dessert (hey, beats having a bunch of cookies or a 100g chocolate bar).

For the next month (January), I'll focus on keeping the junk food out of my diet and then I'll work on getting rid of more and more carbs. I have some good sites bookmarked (that people on this site recommended) and will be reading through them.

I think that I am going to make a focused effort to live through the year.
At 63 and going downhill in spurts, it is about all I can hope for.
