I like Texas too....for many reasons...we have talked about moving to somewhere in Northeastern Texas for our retirement, but it never happened. Missouri is not bad, but right now it is snowing and I will have 5-6 inches of snow to move before the day is out and it is like 17 degrees, and that is the high today!

The snow’s now 1/2 way up my garden shed door. Folks are now hiring out shovelers to clean off their roofs! Back to an ol’ fashion winter here in Northern Minnesota. Last year I could count on one hand the number of times I fired up the snowblower. This year, I’ve simply lost count. But soon we’ll be coming to our 5 months of no snow season and I can fire up the trike! That’ll be wonderful.

Are you in San Antonio? Its pretty much the same here in Houston.
Now I'm one who doesn 't mind cold as long as there is no precipitation. But cold to me is anything under 50.

I am just outside of San Antonio, near Randolph Air Force Base.

You guys have nice weather for sure but I kind of like all 4 seasons... even if winter seems never ending sometimes lol!

I also don't think I could deal with anything poisonous...snakes/spiders etc. The worst thing we have here is mosquitos

California is beautiful for sure! My husband and I traveled to Pomona a few years back for the Winter Nationals (NHRA fans here!)

The scenery was gorgeous! The 5 lane freeways not so much

Man!!! You guys sound like Canadians experiencing a Canadian winter - now you know what we endure for 5 months of year. The older I get the less of a fan I become in regard to winter weather.
