Default Insulin cost

I just returned from the pharmacy having purchased two vials of Humalog.

The cost today with Connecticare insurance was $130. Last month, the same prescription was $30.

An enormous increase! Naturally, I'll be calling Connecticare on Monday when they're open, but I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar price increases.

That's awful! You did question it to make sure they didn't make a mistake?

If you were a few years older, I'd say you'd fallen through the donut hole, but can't blame this one on Medicare, eh? Sorry, John. That's perfectly ridiculous.

Wouldn't mind so much if I didn't know the price has gone up so much in the last ten years or so back when my mother was alive and I bought the stuff for her.

My heart goes out to those who are uninsured and paying cash.

Shanny and Mary, like this.

Default Hope it was a mistake.

That is a terrible increase! Hopefully it was a mistake, and you can get it taken care of OK. I do have insurance, but I go to Wal-Mart and use a Reli-On brand (their brand), and pay cash at 24.99, cheaper than my co-pay with my insurance. You might look into that.

Thanks, Annie. I'll check Wal-mart.
