Being new to this, I have no idea how many researchers are on top of this but I DO know one thing......they're far, far behind you good people here!

The study was done on MICE! Got a long way to go to show the same benefit in humans.

And, within the article was a statement that one shouldn't stay on the ketogenic diet for very long.

But, they did get it right about what ketosis is.

Thanks, Mare! I like every headline that says 'Low-carb, high-fat diet <does wonderful things>'

Research moves slowly, but even so I wonder what has happened with this in the intervening 5 years.

Probably not much, there may be other mouse studies to duplicate.
who would fund a human trial?

Until then there are individual Dr about themselves or their patients.
Dr. Bernstein is well know and recommends 30g carbs, which is ketogenic and he said with normal BG he reversed his CKD like they do in mice
