This is a favorite recipe I make.

3T butter
2large yellow onions
2large red onions
4 med size leeks

salt/pepper

1& 1/2 cup grated havarti cheese
2 packages of Boursin with herbs crunbled

1 & 1/2 cup gruyere grated.

1/2 cup white wine.

butter a 8cup baking dish.
layer the onions salt&pepper.
then havarti.
more onions

then top with crumbled Boursin
last of the onions
then top with gruyere

dot with the 2T butter, add the wine.

bake 1 hr 350`
