That is about the gist of it. Hahah, it is hard to get enough fat while not adding to much protein. Some of these tricks make it so you get enough without having to suck on a bacon stick all day long

Thanks all. And a Happy and Healthy New Year

PS I was just on a 14 night cruise. There was a girl who clearly had eating issues. She was so thin. I watched her at breakfast one day. I am not kidding. She had 1 plate of food that consisted of a pile of bacon. I said to my husband "See! She proves that the high fat diet works!!!"

A few days later it occurred to me that there was a chance that after she ate it, she purged it. Oh well, it still was a sight, a very thin girl eating a plate of bacon .

I think it means Heavy Whipping Cream. If it means something else, I've been doing it wrong.

Carbless... I had to look it up. It's "Heavy Whipping Cream."

I'm still struggling with switching the milk in my tea to half-and-half. I feel decadent.

(If only I could add a bit of sugar, I'd be in heaven!)

Half and half is not the same as HWC. Compare the carbs and fats in each.

Half and Half is 2g fat per tablespoon (10g/cup of carbs)
Heavy whipping cream is either 5g or 6g fat per tablespoon (3g/cup carbs).

Data is from: Nutrition facts, calories in food, labels, nutritional information and analysis – NutritionData.com

Try for the 6g version if you can find it.

About 90% of the "Heavy Whipping Cream" for sale is 5g per tablespoon. About 1 of 3 supermarkets around here carry the good stuff. For me, the 5g version raises the glucometer readings more and elevates my dairy intolerance, too.

HWC = Heavy whipping cream, double cream to us Brits....

I've heard some interesting ones, my favourite is buttered tea, and coconut oil cocoa...can't stand coconut oil in coffee though...though now you've got me thinking about trying butter in it!

Coconut oil cocoa? Now that's an idea. I'll have to try that! If you are going for inexpensive, the buttered coffee would win on price.

I wonder what ghee would taste like in coffee? It has an amazing nutty flavor.
