I cannot tell you how much these crackers have changed my life...I've always felt there was something missing in my access to foods I like...the crackers have made eating easier...some cheese some hummus some salami some olives...I don't feel different to anyone any more...I can serve them to friends and family as 'normal' food and they taste fab!!!!!!!!!!!!

Optimist I think one of the greatest things (at least for me) about this forum is the way we feed ideas off each other...it reminds me of how people used to get together in a village square in the olden days...like a community meeting place...the sharing and generosity is what makes this forum so welcoming...

Also for me the most difficult issue I have with eating is boredom...new recipes or new ways to look at old ones is what keeps me from eating something I ought not...

thank you again!

Made these for the first time tonight but almost pulled a Bugg (lol). I had to use Psyllium seeds instead of husks which meant that thy didn't soak in all the water and required extra cooking to get crisp. Some ended up a tiny smidgen soft while others were a tiny bit Bugg burnt. Regardless, they are good and I'm now rocking two topped with tuna salad. Tack så jävla mycket, Optimist!

Last time I made crackers I didn`t have enough sesame, so I grinded some sunflower seed.
It worked just fine!

Agreed! I already have plans to play around with the content and come up with some interesting variants. By making them a bit thicker, they could possibly be used as an energy bar. I'm thinking blueberry with hazelnut flour instead of almond.

ok new um ingredient

I was checking carbs in nuts and seeds and Brazil Nuts are 25% as many carbs as Almonds so a better all round nut...but I also go on prices...so they were way cheap so I bought 250gms and tried them in the crackers...and WOW I didn't use Almond Flour at all and just subbed it with the Brazil Nut Flour (just made in the blender)...very happy to report a complete success!

can we make this thread a sticky?
