Ok I finally plucked up the courage to make the famous Optimist crackers.. I had put it off even though I had all the ingredients I didnt think they could possibly be as good as store bought.... Oh how wrong I was, just taken them out of the oven after hovering in front of the oven for the past 45 mins like a mother with a new born baby, just consumed about a dozen some i smeared with a smidgin of peanut butter....heaven just heaven, planning of having a few ( as if) for lunch tomorrow topped with cream cheese & smoked salmon salivating at the thought.
Thank you Optismist I bow to your cooking skills

Please change the cream cream to perhaps cream cheese...lol

I ate so many I passed on dinner, but my BG's were still extremely good, may spend the rest of my life consuming crackers

I had really really missed crackers with cheese, salami etc no stopping me now

What does that mean to make the thread a "sticky"? I also don't get when someone "bumps" something. I'm a little lame, so bare with me.

Renee, Making making a thread stickied means to "attach it to the top of the list of threads so that, no matter how many new posts are added, the stickied thread will always remain near the top of the list along with other stickied threads.

Bumping a thread simply means that you want a thread to remain near the top of the list of threads (among the newest). Threads that are not stickied will slowly disappear as new threads are added but adding a post saying "bump" to that thread, puts it back to the top of the list.

Thanks CD for that wonderful explanation. Totally makes sense now. I feel so much more "forum literate". I still have not made these crackers, only because I have to go to the health food store to get the psyllium husks or hulls, or whatever they are. I have everything else. I am bound and determined to make these Thursday after work. I have Zumba Wednesday night, so by the time I get back from that, dinner and clean up, it's too late to make. But, I have got to taste these crackers already! You guys are killing me with the awesome comments on them!
