Default OMG divine Brownies

For my son's 15th birthday I needed to find a good quality substitute for the Devil's Food Cake he has loved to date. Thanks to Nigella Lawson I found quite possibly the best flourless cake I have tasted. This beats flour cakes hands down - obviously you need to sub out for sugar as this is coming from a non LC chef. I actually made it with Half and Half (Silver Spoon) and it didn't spike me. So chocolatey I thought I had died and gone to heaven... I didn't make the sauce - we had some cream instead.

FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES WITH HOT CHOCOLATE SAUCE | Recipes | Nigella Lawson

I put it through Nutritional Data and got 266 kCal per portion - cut into 16 pieces - it was very rich so it would be hard to have bigger pieces and 12.7g carb. So not the best recipe for weight loss but awesome as a proper treat that still won't wreak too much damage.

She does a couple of other flourless cakes too..

MCS and Patdart like this.

Caster sugar is finer than regular table sugar and Golden syrup is a light cane syrup as opposite to molasses, I think...

That sounds absolutely Delish and I'm going to try it. I especially like her conversion chart which I printed out and no doubt will lose, but still it's great for those on this side of the pond!

Thanks for the idea!
