Talking Glorious Loaf of Almond Bread-Net Carbs 1.25 g

Recipe: 1.5 c almond flour 6 eggs 4 tbs butter, melted 3 tsp baking powder .25 tsp cream of tartar Salt

Oven 375F, 30 minute bake(keep an eye on it, just golden brown don't overcook it)

Beat the tartar and the whites of the eggs until stiff peaks. Mix the yolks, butter, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add 1/3 of the egg whites mixture and mix well. Fold the rest of the egg whites mixture in gently. Greased 8x4 loaf pan

Yields 20 slices 1 slice: 90 cal Fat 8g Protein 4g Net carbs: 1.25 g

I made this! It was good, but a little on the eggy side. Am going to make it again with 5 eggs - or even 4 per comments - and see how it goes.

I had a couple slices - the rest of the loaf has been languishing in the frig a few days. Tomorrow will toast in a pan and have eggs over easy on top. That used to be one of my favorite breakfasts!

I do always use extra fine almond flour, so the bread was light (if eggy) and looked like the photo.

From comments I've read about Oopsy bread, the extreme eggy flavor reduces somewhat when refrigerated for a day.

Wish I could eat that many eggs!!
