Default LC BBQ Sauce

I thought I would share my full BBQ sauce recipe, its a hot, spicy sauce but it works well for me.

I pearl 1/2 minced onion and a couple cloves of minced garlic in a half a stick of butter. Adding Thyme and Rosemary at the same time. I then add almost a whole large bottle of Red Hot sauce, but you could probably cut this some tomato sauce or LC ketchup. A good squirt of Worchestershire sauce, Apple Cider vinegar, little lime juice and probably about a 1/4 cup of yellow mustard.

I soak the meat in this in a ziplock bag so as not to use to much over night and use it to baste while on the BBQ. I then take the remainder of the sauce add minced dill pickles then enough Splenda to make it sweet. Works well for me.

It is BBQ time, love the recipe. Do you boil the remainer sauce or just add the dill pickle to it?

Just add the dill pickles or dill relish

Giving this LC BBQ sauce a go tonight on some pork steaks on the grill. Will let you know how it turns out.

I made a few adjustments though because we don't like BBQ that is spicy hot...so I used about 1/8 cup hot sauce with one 15 oz can tomato sauce and about 1 cup of low sugar ketchup. Did not have thyme so used marjoram instead with rosemary while pearling the onions and garlic in butter. Added worchestershire sauce, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, and whatever else you said. Did not use pickles or sweetener since I thought it was sweet enough with the use of the ketchup and tomato sauce. Raw it tastes pretty good. Hopefully it will taste just as good once BBQ'd.

Thanks Marty! Always fun trying your recipes.

Looks really good. I've printed it off, along with Renee's changes to bring down the heat. Can't wait to try it.

Just add it at the end, for even bolder flavor add some minced banana pepper rings

Okay, so the BBQ sauce was awesome! Hubby and I both enjoyed it! Good idea to add banana peppers Marty. I'll do that next time.

Here's a picture of our BBQ'd pork steaks with a side of asparagus.
